FDG Africa, An architecture studio based in Kigali, Rwanda was Founded by Johnson M Bigwi in 2013 and later in 2015 after successfully working together on the Kacyiru Residential House with Engineer Jean Baptiste Muhirwa and Engineer Emmanuel Iyamuremye they agreed to work together. Henceforth, Futuristic Design Group (FDG) is a dynamic multidisciplinary group of young idealistic Architects, Designers, and Engineers based in Rwanda.
FDG was founded on a desire for design excellence, environmental sustainability, high-quality innovation, and end-user satisfaction.
Our mission is to successfully connect people with where they live, learn, work, and play in a way that protects promotes the development and enhances the environment.
Our approach is rather than being guided by abstract theories or pre-determined styles, we tailor every project to its individual site, the immediate and surrounding. We believe in and practice architecture that is socially relevant. Architecture that relates to the community, promotes urbanity and develops society.
Our studio is a place of ideas and possibilities. A place where design and architecture serve to create new and exciting possibilities for our clients and the communities that we serve.
It is critical for us that in architecture we find the means to contribute concrete and definitive improvements to the city and to the lives of those which we serve. In every project that we undertake, we ponder on the future and always strive to define the spaces that we create and develop.
This design process requires a constant stream of dialogues and critiques in an atmosphere where open ideas can be shared, an environment that cultivates intense desires to constantly search for better and brighter solutions.
